This TFOCA Pigtail allows the Warfighter to purchase a four-channel individual Pigtail two meters in length. A “pigtail” is simply a length of cable with a connector on one end and no connector(s) on the other end. KITCO first makes a four meter High Quality Jumper (HQJ), factory polished and tested to assure a pristine, low loss end-face, and cut in half to provide one each of the TFOCA Pigtail, a 4-Channel TFOCA, Pigtail. This pigtail consists of four each 62.5/125µm fiber cable components. These TFOCA Reels of fiber are widely used by the United States Army. This pigtail is used in conjunction with the KITCO #0831-1120-A Quad EL Fusion Splice Kit. Two pigtails are supplied in the 0831-1120-A Kit and may be used in conjunction with the eight (8) JPS-400 Plus’s found in the kit. The supplies found in this kit enables the Warfighter to repair a severed TFOCA Fiber cable link or to splice a pigtail to replace a broken or damaged connector. This can be done in the harsh desert environments and will allow the reel of fiber to be returned to normal use. Now the Warfighter has an alternative to throwing away expensive reels – they can be repaired in theater, quickly and efficiently! NO TRAINING REQUIRED!
