Description
The 0831-8260 is a Ground Tactical MFOCA OTDR Econo Kit designed for use in the battlefield and/or depot level. The VIAVI T-BERD 2000 OTDR provides proven and reliable results in finding breaks, excessive bends, or overall loss in multimode MFOCA reels of fiber widely used by the United States Marine Corps. This Mixed Mode Fiber has two single mode and two 50/125 multimode fibers within the same ruggedized jacket. The P5000i Microscope Inspection Probe allows Inspection and Cleaning of ST and MFOCA end-faces. The O831-8260 contains two each of the properly seated 4-channel termini in the 4-channel hermaphroditic connector. Also included are cleaning fluid, sterile wipes, flexible cleaning sticks, and a mechanical cleaning device.

The recently upgraded 0831-8260 OTDR Cleaning & Inspection Platform Kit is designed specifically for the Ground Tactical Warfighter. The powerful VIAVI T-BERD 2000 OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer) with LED & LASER wavelengths (850, 1300, 1350, & 1550) allows the Warfighter to locate a break, excessive bends, and optical loss of the fiber link in TFOCA II® reels of fiber. The O831-8260 contains two each of the properly seated 4-channel termini seated in the 4-channel hermaphroditic connector. These two HQLCs (High Quality Launch Cables) make this a perfect OTDR kit for the Modern Ground Tactical Warfighter. Cleaning & Inspection supplies, including TFOCA II™ and ST probe tips enable the technician to maintain the upmost cleanliness, even in harsh, desert environments.
