Description
The 0831-8245 is a comprehensive TFOCA II® OTDR/Light Source/Power Meter, Cleaning & Inspection Kit designed for use in the battlefield and/or depot level. The T-BERD 6000A OTDR has been recently replaced by the powerful, VIAVI OTDR ONA-800A Modular Test Platform. The P5000i Test Probe Microscope with all necessary Inspection Probe Tips allows Inspection and Cleaning of all end-faces including TFOCA II®, ST, SC, LC, & FC Two each HQRCs (High Quality Reference Cables), and other necessary single fiber reference cables, couplings, and adapters are included. It also features two each HQLCs (High Quality Launch Cables) and the VIAVI Smart Class™ OLS-V2 Quad Light Source (850,1300,1310,1550). cleaning fluid, wipes, and flexible cleaning swabs are also included for cleaning (Clean and Inspect before you connect). This kit also includes one each (50M, 100M, 500M) Wide Area Network “dead zone eliminator” bare fiber boxes to enable the Warfighter to test LANs (Local Area Networks) and WANs (Wide Area Networks).

(Details 0831-8245)The recently upgraded 0831-8245 OTDR/Light Source, Cleaning & Inspection Platform Kit is designed specifically for the Ground Tactical Warfighter. The powerful VIAVI One Advisor 800A OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer) and the Quad Light Source with LED & LASER wavelengths (850, 1300, 1350, & 1550), not only allows the Warfighter to locate a break, excessive bends, and optical loss of the fiber link in TFOCA reels of fiber, but also accurately displays each connector pairs end-face’s insertion loss. All appropriate HQLCs (High Quality Launch Cables) and HQRCs (High Quality Reference Cables) with transition couplings and adapters make this a comprehensive kit for the Modern Ground Tactical Warfighter. Cleaning & Inspection supplies, including TFOCA II™, ST, LC, & SC probe tips enable the technician to maintain the upmost cleanliness, even in harsh, desert environments. This test platform also is fully functional for single fiber, duplex, & Wide Area Network (WAN) applications.
